ZoneLiquidity requires a one-time setup, completed by a NetSuite Administrator, that connects your account to Zone's AI forecasting model. Once the API Secret is saved, your finance team can create cash forecasts without repeating this step.

Overview
ZoneLiquidity sits within ZoneReconcile and is accessed via the ZoneLiquidity menu in NetSuite. Before anyone in your organisation can generate a forecast, a NetSuite Administrator must verify the license and configure the API Secret in the ZoneLiquidity Setup assistant.
Once the API Secret is saved, the Administrator can stop there and hand off — a user with the Administrator, ZoneLiquidity, or ZoneLiquidity SAML role can continue through the rest of the wizard from General Preferences onward. See Creating a New Cash Forecast in ZoneLiquidity for those steps.
Important: Complete this setup once per NetSuite account.
Watch the setup video
This video walks through the full onboarding, from verifying your license and saving the API Secret through to executing your first forecast. The steps after the API Secret are covered in Creating a New Cash Forecast in ZoneLiquidity.
Prerequisites
- Your organisation holds an active ZoneReconcile license with ZoneLiquidity enabled.
- ZoneLiquidity is installed and deployed to your NetSuite account.
- You are logged in to NetSuite with the Administrator role.
- You have received your API Secret from Zone. Zone's technical team generates this and provides it to you securely ahead of setup. If you have not received it, contact your Account Manager.
- At least 1 subsidiary with associated bank accounts is configured in NetSuite.
- Historical transaction data exists for the subsidiaries and bank accounts you intend to forecast. The system looks back 365 days from the forecast creation date to train the AI model. For best results, aim for at least 6–12 months of reasonably complete payment history before running a forecast.
Who can complete this setup
Only a user logged in to NetSuite with the Administrator role can configure the API Secret. This step writes credentials to your NetSuite account and is restricted to Administrators.
Important: If you are not a NetSuite Administrator, you cannot save the API Secret. Contact your NetSuite Administrator to complete this step. Once the API Secret is saved, you can build forecasts under the ZoneLiquidity or ZoneLiquidity SAML role.
Step 1: Verify your ZoneLiquidity license
Confirm that ZoneLiquidity is active on your ZoneReconcile license before opening the setup assistant.
- Navigate to Setup > ZoneReconcile Setup > ZoneReconcile License.
- Locate the Active Modules section.
- Confirm that ZoneLiquidity is listed as active.
If ZoneLiquidity is not active, contact your Account Manager to enable it on your license.
Step 2: Open the ZoneLiquidity Setup wizard
Navigate to Setup > ZoneLiquidity > ZoneLiquidity Setup.
The ZoneLiquidity Setup wizard opens at the API Secret Configuration step.
Step 3: Configure the API Secret
This step establishes the secure connection to the ZoneLiquidity backend and is the only step restricted to Administrators.
- Copy the API Secret provided to you by Zone.
- Paste it into the ZoneLiquidity API Secret field.
- Click Save.
NetSuite stores the API Secret against your account. Once done, the wizard displays a success state showing the stored Secret ID and no further action is required.
Tip: Configure the API Secret once. All subsequent forecast definitions reuse the stored credentials automatically.
Step 4: Continue or hand off
With the API Secret saved, the initial setup is complete. Either continue through the wizard yourself, or hand off to a colleague with the ZoneLiquidity or ZoneLiquidity SAML role.
Follow Creating a New Cash Forecast in ZoneLiquidity for the remaining steps: General Preferences, Destination Rules, and Review and Execute.
Important: Custom transaction types are not supported in this version of ZoneLiquidity. Only the standard transaction types listed in the New Forecast Setup wizard are available for selection.
Administrator follow-up tasks
Some validation and tuning tasks remain Administrator-only after handoff.
Check a forecast's status on the ZR Forecast Definition record
The ZR Forecast Definition record is accessible only through the Administrator role, so users on a ZoneLiquidity role may ask you to check it on their behalf.
- Type ZR Forecast Definition in the global search.
- Open the most recent record and confirm the Status field reads Completed.
- Note the Sync Count field, which shows the number of transactions sent to the AI model.
Tip: The record also holds a full snapshot of the forecast configuration, including the subsidiary, bank accounts, forecast date range, and transaction types submitted. Use it to troubleshoot forecasts that do not produce expected results.
Increase processing capacity
To speed up forecast submission, increase the number of processors on the ZR Treasury Transaction Sync MR script deployment under Concurrency Limit. Review the impact on other scheduled processing before changing this setting.
Next steps
Setup is complete. Users with the Administrator, ZoneLiquidity, or ZoneLiquidity SAML role can now create forecasts without repeating the API Secret step. See Creating a New Cash Forecast in ZoneLiquidity.
