The Scenario Planning Agent in ZoneLiquidity Forecast enables finance teams to model what-if scenarios against an existing forecast, exploring how changes to payment terms or other variables would affect projected cash balances before any action is taken.

Overview
Scenario Planning Agent is accessed via Setup > ZoneLiquidity > Scenario Planning Agent. Once a forecast has been generated and its status is Completed, users can load it into Scenario Planning Agent and test the impact of different financial parameters on the projected cash balance.
Scenario Planning Agent is intended to complement the Cash Forecast chart — rather than replacing a forecast with a new one, it allows users to layer hypothetical changes on top of an existing forecast to support decision-making.
Prerequisites
- At least 1 forecast with a status of Completed must exist in the system.
Step 1: Select a forecast
Select an existing forecast from the Forecast pick-list. The pick-list displays all completed forecasts available in the system.
Important: Forecasts are currently identified by their internal system ID only. Custom naming is not yet supported. If you have submitted multiple forecasts, cross-reference the creation date and configuration details in the ZR Forecast Definition record to identify the correct one.
Step 2: Enter scenario parameters
Enter the parameters for the scenario you wish to model. Examples of supported scenarios include:
- Adjusting customer payment terms by a defined number of days
- Modelling the impact of a change in vendor payment cadence
Important: Scenario parameters must relate to the time frame covered by the selected forecast. Questions or inputs that fall outside the forecast period will not return results.
Step 3: Review the scenario output
Once the parameters are submitted, Scenario Planning Agent updates the projection to reflect the modelled changes. Review the output to assess the impact on the forecasted cash balance for the selected period.
