The Liquidity page in ZoneLiquidity displays bank account balances for any selected date — past or future — giving finance teams an instant view of where cash stands today and what it is expected to be at a future point in time.

Overview
The Liquidity page serves as a supporting view to the Cash Forecast chart. While the Cash Forecast chart projects bank balances over a period, the Liquidity page answers a more direct question: what is the bank balance on a specific date? Finance teams use this page to check balances at historical dates (such as a fiscal year-end) as well as to review expected balances at a future date based on an existing forecast.
To access the Liquidity page, navigate to Setup > ZoneLiquidity > Liquidity.
Understanding the data columns
Each row on the Liquidity page represents a bank account. The following columns are displayed for each account:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Current balance | The bank account balance as of today, or as of the last posting in the NetSuite general ledger. |
| Expected inflows | The total accounts receivable amount forecast to be received into the account within the selected period. |
| Expected outflows | The total accounts payable amount forecast to leave the account within the selected period. |
| Forecasted balance | A calculated value: current balance + expected inflows − expected outflows. This is the projected bank balance at the selected date. |
Additionally, the following balance types are displayed where data is available:
| Balance type | Source |
|---|---|
| Bank statement balance | Pulled from the most recently imported bank statement in ZoneReconcile, or from bank connectivity if enabled. |
| NetSuite balance | Pulled from the NetSuite general ledger (double-entry accounting balance). |
Viewing balances for a specific date
Historical dates
To check a bank balance at a past date, select any historical date in the date field at the top of the page. The system retrieves the NetSuite general ledger balance as of that date.
Future dates
To view a projected balance at a future date:
- Select a future date in the date field.
- In the Forecast pick-list that appears, select the forecast you wish to apply.
- Optionally, filter by subsidiary using the Subsidiary pick-list to narrow the results to accounts included in that forecast.
Important: The Forecast pick-list only appears when a future date is selected. For past dates, no forecast selection is required, as actual data is used instead.
Tip: Forecasts are currently identified by their internal system ID. If you have run multiple forecasts, navigate to Setup > ZoneLiquidity > Forecasting and check the forecast list to identify the correct record by its creation date and configuration details.
Viewing the explainability layer
The expected inflows and outflows amounts are interactive. Click any inflow or outflow figure to open the explainability layer, which lists the individual transactions that make up that total.
Each line item in the explainability layer falls into 1 of 2 categories:
| Line item type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Named vendor or customer (e.g. AP – Vendor Payment: [Vendor Name]) | The AI model identified a recurring payment pattern for this specific vendor or customer and has forecast the next occurrence based on that pattern. |
| Grouped reference (e.g. Other AP or TGPTAP[bank account ID]) | No clear recurring pattern was detected for these transactions. The system grouped them and applied a statistical forecast based on overall transaction volume. |
Currency behaviour
The Liquidity page displays amounts in each bank account's native subsidiary currency. This differs from the Cash Forecast chart, which consolidates all amounts into the headquarter subsidiary's currency when multiple subsidiaries are included in a forecast.
Tip: To check which currency a subsidiary uses, navigate to Setup > Company > Subsidiaries and review the Currency field.
Refreshing the data
The Last Updated timestamp at the top of the Liquidity page indicates when the data was last synchronised with Zone's AI model. If the timestamp shows an earlier date and you want to ensure the view reflects the most recent transactions, click Refresh.
Clicking Refresh re-sends the transaction data to the AI model and updates the page with the latest results. Use this action when:
- New transactions have been created since the last sync.
- Payments were posted overnight via an integration and you want the morning view to be current.
Exporting data
To export the current Liquidity page view, click Export. The system generates a CSV file containing the bank accounts, current balances, expected inflows and outflows, and forecasted balances displayed on the page.
