BR-1078 SuiteTax Support

ZoneReconcile now offers compatibility with the NetSuite SuiteTax engine. This update introduces smart detection logic that identifies an account’s tax engine via feature flags, allowing the application to switch between Nexus-based SuiteTax and traditional Legacy logic without user intervention. 

Transaction Compatibility

To ensure accurate processing, it is important to note which transaction types are currently optimized for this engine:

• Transactions Supported:

  • Journal Entry

  • Multi-Line Journal Entry

• Transactions Not Supported:

  • Vendor Credits

  • Checks

  • Advanced Intercompany Journal Entries (AICJEs)

Configuration & Enhancements

To support this, the Bank Account Configuration is enhanced with default Nexus settings and the Bank Statement Transaction custom record is updated by including granular tax metadata such as Tax Registration Numbers, Tax Accounts, and Tax Rates. These enhancements extend to Custom Matching Rules, enabling automated tax processing for Journals, and Multi-line Journal entries while maintaining a zero-impact experience for existing Legacy Tax customers.

Select a default Nexus for your bank account, so you do not manually record the Nexus under each bank statement transaction line.
