Introduction

Bank Connectivity in ZoneReconcile 2.0 enables automated ingestion of bank statement data via secure channels such as SFTP and APIs. Once configured:

• ZoneReconcile users can authenticate using credentials (e.g., Access token, SSH keys)
• The system polls or receives bank statement files in supported formats (Supported File Formats)
• Files are parsed and validated against predefined bank account configurations
• Bank files are pushed into the reconciliation engine and displayed to end users in the form of a bank statement page

How does it work?

Connectivity API

ZoneReconcile’s Connectivity API is built on a modern, API-first architecture. A connection to a banking institution (Bank) is created using a unique access token. The access token ensures secure and private access to user's banking data.

To simplify setup, ZoneReconcile offers a user-friendly, end-to-end assistant. This guided process not only establishes bank connectivity, but also automatically sets up the necessary configuration for bank reconciliation.

Connectivity SFTP

Connectivity SFTP in ZoneReconcile allows users to securely and automatically import bank statement files. The connectivity protocol is secure proving authentication combination of username, password and key pair. With this strong multi factor authentication, the system ensures a safe and automated bank data flow.

By connecting to a bank’s or provider’s SFTP server, ZoneReconcile can regularly download files (Supported File Formats are listed in the link), process and prepare them for reconciliation—without any manual uploads. Apart of downloading bank statements, Connectivity SFTP allows end user to upload Payment and Payroll files too.
