How to Check if Your Bank Is Supported by Direct Bank Connectivity in ZoneReconcile

Direct Bank Connectivity API in ZoneReconcile lets you connect your bank accounts directly for automated transaction imports. Use this guide to verify whether your bank is supported in your region before setup.

Supported regions

Direct Bank Connectivity API currently supports banks in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the United Kingdom.

Important: Support for Australian banks is expected from 24th July 2026. New Zealand is not currently in scope.

Check bank support in the US or Canada

Bank connectivity in the US and Canada is powered by Plaid. Follow these steps to verify support for a specific institution:

  1. Navigate to https://plaid.com/demo/.
  2. Select the Country (United States or Canada).
  3. Select Transactions as the product.

  1. Click the Launch Demo button.
  2. Choose Continue as a guest on the Quick Start screen.

  1. Enter the name of your bank in the search bar.

Supported bank

If the bank is supported, the system will prompt you with a login request. Clicking Continue to login will open an OAuth popup page requesting credentials. If you reach this login screen, the bank is supported via Connectivity API.

Unsupported bank

If a bank is unsupported, you will see one of the following:

  1. The bank does not appear in the search results.
  2. The Link QuickStart displays a "Something went wrong" notice.

Check bank support in Europe

European bank support is determined through Plaid's Coverage Explorer. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Plaid European Bank Coverage page.
  2. Select the relevant Country from the list of available markets.
  3. Search for the institution by name.
  4. Verify that the listing meets both of the following conditions:
    • Account Data is shown as available (enabled).
    • Account Type includes Business.

Important: If both Account Data and Business account type are not listed for your bank, the institution is not supported for ZoneReconcile bank connectivity.

Check bank support in Australia

Bank connectivity in Australia is powered by Basiq and uses Open Banking (CDR). Follow these steps to verify support:

  1. Go to the Basiq Supported Institutions list.
  2. Enter your bank name in the search bar.
  3. Confirm that a green tick appears under the Open Banking column for your bank in Australia.

Important: ZoneReconcile supports Open Banking (CDR) connections only. Banks listed with web support only are not compatible.

Tip: Open Banking (CDR) in Australia covers transaction accounts, savings accounts, loan accounts, term deposits, lines of credit, credit cards, and business banking accounts as standard. If your bank has an Open Banking tick, these account types are supported.

Activate your business account for CDR data sharing

Before implementation begins, confirm that your business account is activated for CDR data sharing with your bank. If you are unsure, refer to Basiq's guide on connecting business accounts via CDR to complete activation.
