When a bank statement line has already been processed, ZoneReconcile locks the line from direct edits. This article explains how to delete the processed transaction and reprocess the line, along with the role permissions required to perform this action.
Prerequisites
Before deleting a processed transaction, confirm the user's role meets all of the following requirements. For full details on configuring roles, see the Roles and Permissions article.
- The role must have permissions for SuiteScript and SuiteScript Scheduling.
- The role must have Full level of permission for the transaction type that needs to be deleted.
- If the transaction to be deleted has a dependency on another transaction, the link between the 2 transactions must be removed manually in NetSuite before proceeding (see the Important note below).
Important: If the transaction you are deleting is linked to another transaction, you must remove that link manually in NetSuite before deleting it in ZoneReconcile. Common examples include a Customer Refund created from a Credit Memo, and a Journal Entry created from a Vendor Credit. Attempting to delete a transaction with an active dependency will cause errors.
How to change a processed transaction
Processed bank statement lines are locked and cannot be edited directly. To make a change, delete the processed transaction from the bank statement line and reprocess it.
- Navigate to Transactions > ZoneReconcile > Bank Statement List and click View for the relevant bank statement.
- Locate the line you want to change and click Edit on that line (the leftmost field).
- Click Delete Payment Transactions and click OK on the confirmation alert.
- After the transaction is deleted, you are redirected back to the bank statement. Reprocess the line as needed.
💡 Tip: The Delete Payment Transactions button is permissions-driven and will only appear for roles with the correct access level. Visit the Roles and Permissions article, specifically the Delete Transactions Permission section to learn more.
